Another song by musician Aruj Aftab could win a Grammy next year

Grammy winner Urooj Aftab made the whole of Pakistan extremely proud when she became the country’s first Grammy winner. Her song ‘Mohbat’ won the Best World Music Performance Award. Now the 37-year-old singer has submitted her second song for the prestigious award.

Arooj took to his Instagram on Tuesday to announce that his song ‘Udhero Na’ has been submitted for Grammy consideration. The song features legendary musician Ravi Shankar’s daughter Anushka Shankar.

“Udher Na feat. Anoushka Shankar for your Grammy voting consideration in the Best Global Music Performance category,” he wrote in the caption. Quoting a line from the song, she said the song was about being over an ex. “Definitely a must-win because we finally got over them,” she quipped.

Nominations for the Grammys are scheduled to be announced on November 15 and the awards will be held on February 5 in Los Angeles.
