This was announced by the Saudi Space Commission while announcing the new space program. Saudi Arabia’s new space program will send the first female pilot and astronaut into space next year. Under this program, Saudi citizens will be made part of short and long-term space flights on behalf of Saudi Arabia. These citizens will also be able to be part of scientific experiments, international research and future space missions. This new space program is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and more details will be released by the administration in the coming months. This announcement has been made at a time when the space program is being speedily worked on by the United Arab Emirates. UAE has sent a mission to Mars while a woman from there is also undergoing training to go to space.
