Famous American ski mountaineer Hilaree Nelson missing from Mount Manaslu
According to details, famous American mountaineer Hilary Nelson has gone missing after climbing the world’s eighth-highest peak in Nepal.
According to foreign media reports, athlete and American mountaineer Hilary Nelson along with her husband Jim Morrison climbed the world’s eighth-highest peak ‘Mount Manaslu’ on Monday.
According to foreign media, on the same day, other climbers were also trying to reach the peak, but unfortunately, one person died and more than a dozen were injured due to an avalanche.
According to climbers involved in the expedition, Nelson disappeared 15 minutes after reaching the summit and fell into a 2,000-foot (600 m) gap in slippery snow, known as a ‘creve’.
While Nelson’s husband Morrison managed to return to the camp safely after the incident.
It has been informed by the rescue authorities that the search operation cannot be done at this time due to bad weather.

Hilary Nelson is the first woman to summit two 8000m peaks (Everest and Lhotse) in 24 hours on 25 May 2012.
Born in Seattle, USA, Nelson was named one of the “25 Most Brave Women of the Last 25 Years” by Men’s Magazine, as well as one of National Geographic’s 2018 Adventurers of the Year.
