Cuba and the US state of Florida are facing Hurricane Ian

According to foreign media, there were rains with strong winds in Cuba, due to which an emergency alert was issued in 6 western provinces.

Train and bus service between the affected states has been suspended, with the storm expected to hit the Florida coast later today or Thursday.

On the other hand, a state of emergency has also been implemented in 67 counties of Florida.

The National Hurricane Center has warned that Ian is intensifying into a Category 2 storm. The storm has threatened the city of Tampa, Florida.

Florida’s governor has said in a press conference that the storm is threatening heavy rains, strong winds, and flooding, and could also cause power outages in the city.

The governor has directed the citizens to stock up on Kopan, food, fuel, and essential medicines.
