Allah ki Qasam, I will make Karachi Paris if given the chance, Shahbaz Sharif

Addressing a public meeting in Nazimabad, Shahbaz Sharif, president of the largest opposition party, the PML-N, said, “I swear by Allah that I will make Karachi Paris if given the chance.”

Addressing the gathering, he said that Karachi, which embraced the people of the entire country, was not given its due.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced Rs 160 billion for Karachi but did not spend a single penny. He demanded the Prime Minister to visit Karachi immediately and witness the devastation with his own eyes.

Shahbaz Sharif said that immediate assistance should be given to the heirs of those killed in the rains, whose houses were destroyed, their houses should be rebuilt immediately.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that it was unfortunate that the city which is the city of Quaid-e-Azam and the motherland was not able to accommodate the Prime Minister.

He said that if there was a government of Nawaz Sharif, he would have come to Karachi at the first opportunity.

The PML-N president also said that there were historic rains in the city, the city became an ocean, the sympathies of the whole of Pakistan have come to convey to him.

He said that most of the people lost their lives and crops were destroyed in Sindh.

Shahbaz Sharif said that he had said in the election that he would clean the dirt from Karachi in 6 months and had given a time frame of 1 year for the construction of roads but nature had approved something else.

He asked what the ruling party PTI MNAs and MPAs did for Karachi. If I get a chance, I will not make Karachi Lahore but Paris.
