Suspect in stolen SUV leads CHP on high-speed chase on 10 Freeway

A suspect accused of stealing a car led police on a multi-county chase.

According to foreign media, the California Highway Patrol initially pursued the suspect in the East Los Angeles area. The pursuit continued on the 10 Freeway, stretching as far east as the San Gorgonio Pass in San Bernardino County.

Sky Fox called off the pursuit after the pursuit moved beyond the Southern California news coverage area.

Authorities did not say where the car was stolen from.

The car driver reportedly reached speeds of more than 100 mph, in a black SUV with red and blue lights on the front.

When did this chase happen?

According to reports, the chase began on the 10 Freeway in East LA around 10:45 p.m. With the suspect driving at speeds that exceeded 100 mph at times, the chase soon entered San Bernardino County.

The suspect driver drove through several cities, including Pomona, Fontana, Colton, and Redlands.

Several California Highway Patrol vehicles followed the driver, who crossed lanes in light traffic.
