Justin Bieber admits he was ‘reckless’ with Selena Gomez amid whirlwind romance

Justin Bieber has openly acknowledged his past behavior with Selena Gomez, admitting to acting recklessly during their relationship. In a candid conversation with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the singer of the hit “Peaches” discussed his intense former romance with Gomez, which concluded in 2018 – the same year he married Hailey Bieber.

During his chat with Zane Lowe, Bieber candidly admitted to his wild behavior throughout his time with Selena Gomez. Reflecting on that period, he stated, “Looking back, I think I was dealing with a lot of hurt from my previous relationship. I acted out and made reckless choices.”

Shifting gears to his current relationship with Hailey Bieber, Justin shared, “I took the time to really work on myself, to focus on personal growth, and to make more informed decisions. I can say that I’ve matured.”

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s relationship commenced in 2010 and endured a series of on-again, off-again phases until 2018 when they ultimately parted ways.

Selena Gomez also opened up about her relationship with Bieber during a January 2020 interview on National Public Radio. She revealed that her song “Lose You to Love Me” served as a farewell to Justin Bieber. Reflecting on the song, she expressed, “I take pride in it. The song has evolved in its meaning for me. I grappled with a lack of closure, and while I came to terms with that, I wanted a way to communicate some sentiments I wished I had expressed.”

Gomez emphasized, “This song isn’t fueled by resentment. It’s a melody that conveys, ‘We had something beautiful, and I won’t deny that fact.'”
