Heads of Hungary weather service fired after wrong forecast

According to the report of the foreign news agency, there was a public holiday in the country on the occasion of St. Stephen’s Day, and on that day, Europe’s biggest firework display was supposed to be held in an event, but 7 hours before the scheduled time, it was canceled by the Meteorological Department. A severe weather warning was issued due to which the event was postponed.

According to media reports, 40,000 fireworks were to be lit in this event, which was ready at a distance of 500 km from the event venue.

However, despite the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, the weather remained perfect, following which the government dismissed the Chief and Deputy Chief of the Meteorological Department.

Later, the Meteorological Department predicted that the direction of rains and storms had changed, but it was too late by then.
