How to remove camera app manufacturer watermarks

Many smartphones now put a “Shot on” watermark on all camera images. This is not a new phone function. The Huawei P9 was the first phone to watermark my photos with “Huawei P9 – Leica Dual Camera”. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but I can understand how it might be for others who like clean graphics. Here’s how to remove manufacturer watermarks. All Android phones that install a watermark have a similar technique to remove it. Watermarks are available in the settings of the camera app. The viewfinder’s camera settings icon is a cog. It’s usually under the three-dot or hamburger symbol. Here are some images of OnePlus 10 Pro and Vivo X60 Pro Plus that will help you explore the watermark option in the camera app.

OnePlus phones

To discover the camera settings icons, open the Camera app and tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Tap it to access the camera options.

Watermark is the first option on the settings screen, and you can turn it on or off with a push of a button.

Techno phones

Turn on the camera and press the settings button at the top left of the mobile screen, find the watermark option and turn it on or off.

Vivo phones

To access the Settings cog, open the Camera app and tap on the hamburger menu in the top-right corner of the screen.

Tap it to access the Settings tab, then scroll down to see the Watermark option.

Inside, you’ll find three choices to add time, model, or custom watermarks to your photos.

Crop the image

Images can also be cropped to remove manufacturer watermarks from images. You can remove the watermarks from the bottom left corner of the photo before sharing. The photo can also be cropped using the default Gallery app’s photo editor.
