Govt decides to reopen educational institutions in Sept

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood chaired an Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ conference in which the Education Ministers of the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan participated. During this time important decisions were made regarding school education in the country.
At the conference, the education ministers of the four provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, agreed to open educational institutions with strict SOPs in the first week of September.

At the conference, the education ministers agreed that the situation of Covid-19 would be reviewed before the opening of educational institutions, with final approval from the NOC tomorrow. Educational institutions will also be allowed to conduct examinations with SOPs. The Education Conference also decided to convene two more meetings before September.
It may be recalled that earlier Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass had made a statement regarding the opening of educational institutions in August. However, the inter-provincial education conference has now come up with the position of opening educational institutions in September.
