Former Japan PM Abe dead after shooting

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been killed in an assassination attempt.

According to a report by a foreign news agency, Shinzo Abe, 67, was seriously injured in a shooting incident during his speech, after which he was taken to hospital in critical condition.

According to the report, gunfire was heard during the attack on Shinzo Abe. A suspect has also been arrested immediately after the attack.

According to local media, Shinzo Abe also had a heart attack after the assassination attempt.

Authorities say Shinzo Abe was hit by two bullets and was taken to a hospital where he was in critical condition.
