Governor Punjab Baligh-ur-Rehman saw off the pilgrims from Lahore Airport. This year, A total number of 32,000 pilgrims will be flown to Hijaz Muqaddas by 106 flights.

According to the Saudi Interior Ministry this year, pilgrims from five countries, including Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, and Bangladesh, will be brought to the kingdom under the Route to Mecca project.

Under the Route to Mecca project, the immigration process of the pilgrims is done in their own countries and their luggage is also taken from their own countries. They are loaded and they do not have to worry about the luggage after arriving in the country.
