Following the end of the Corona lockdown and the increase in petroleum products in the country and the low usage of the service by consumers, the company has now announced the closure of the inner city travel service.
Swvl confirmed in a statement sent to its customers on June 2 that the inter-city service in other cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, and Faisalabad, would be suspended from June 3. While the service will be available to customers from one city to another, the ‘Business to Business’ service will also continue.
The company confirmed the closure of the inner-city transport service, citing economic problems, and said its service was being affected by the ongoing global economic crisis.
