Dua Zahra has been kept under the protection of Women Police

Police produced Dua Zehra and her husband in the Sindh High Court where the girl confirmed the marriage of her choice before the court.

When the Dua Zahra case was heard in the Sindh High Court, the police produced Dua Zahra and her husband. As soon as the mother entered the court room and tried to hug her daughter, the security personnel refused to meet her after the hearing.

The Advocate General told the court that Zaheer married Dua Zahra in Punjab, but there was no violation in Sindh. The parents’ lawyer pleaded that the girl was young.

Dua Zahra recited Kalma shareef and stated that I want to go with my husband Zaheer, he did not force me but marriage of choice, I was not kidnapped, I am 18 years old, I was brought from Chishtian Is. When the father tried to intervene, the court shook his father and silenced him.

Refusing to meet her parents, Dua said, “I want to go with my husband Zaheer. I don’t want to meet my parents.”

The court directed Dua Zahra to be sent to a shelter home and undergo a medical test. The court directed to submit the report within two days after determining the age.
