32-year-old case: Navjot Sidhu sentenced to 1 year in jail
Prominent Indian politician and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has been sentenced by a court to one year in prison in a 32-year-old case.
According to Indian media reports, in a 32-year-old case, the Indian Supreme Court sentenced Navjot Singh Sadhu to one year in prison. After which Navjot Singh Sidhu announced his surrender to the law.

Navjot Singh Sadhu was accused of torturing a citizen in 1988. A citizen named Garnam Singh had allegedly died as a result of the violence.
