PM’s surprise visit to Peshawar ‏Morr metro bus project, order for inquiry of 4 years delay

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid a surprise visit to Peshawar Morr Metro Bus Project. Where the Prime Minister was given a briefing on the project which has been pending for four years.

The Prime Minister asked why the Metro Bus project was delayed. There is no justification for delay. How did the project take 4 years to complete? Why the project is not completed yet. When will it be completed?

The Prime Minister ordered an inquiry into the delay in the Metro Bus project and said that he should conduct an inquiry and tell me where is the billions of rupees of the nation spent on the project.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the project should be completed as soon as possible and said that arrangements should also be made for storage of goods in metro buses and metro should also have a station on the motorway.

The Prime Minister was briefed that initially buses would be run on Saturdays.

The project started in 2017 under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and was to be completed in 2018, which was still pending.
