Russian attack on shopping center, 8 people killed


At least eight people have been killed and 10 others injured in a Russian military strike on a shopping center in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

According to the administration, buildings around the shopping center, including schools, were severely affected.

The Russian military has been shelling Kyiv for four weeks and is trying to encircle the Ukrainian capital, which was home to some 3 million people before the war.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that Russia is destroying our country. He also said that Russia wants to occupy Kharkiv, Mario Pool and the capital Kyiv, but the people and we will never allow that.

Ukraine has also rejected Russia’s demand for surrender in the city of Mariupol. The Ukrainian deputy prime minister said there was no question of surrendering and that he had told the Russians.

Residents of Mariupol, Ukraine’s most important commercial city, are under Russian siege and face food, water and electricity shortages.

Russia has said that Ukrainian troops defending the city of Mariupol will be given a safe passage if they surrender.
