India arrests 3 employees of a cough syrup company linked to child deaths in Uzbekistan

According to details, 3 employees of the Indian pharmaceutical company Marion Biotech were arrested in connection with the deaths of children after drinking cough syrup.

According to reports, 26 out of 36 samples of the drug were found to contain toxic substances, while processing it, 3 employees of the cough syrup manufacturing company have been arrested while the search for 2 directors is ongoing.

According to media reports, 70 children have died in Gambia and 19 in Uzbekistan due to drinking the medicine of an Indian company.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), fake medicines caused more than 300 deaths in Gambia, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan last year, most of them under the age of 5.
