UAE, France and India agree on broader cooperation in key sectors

The United Arab Emirates, France and India have agreed to wider cooperation in various fields.

UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, French Foreign Minister Catherine Kolona and Indian Foreign Minister Jay Shankar spoke on a telephone call.

After a telephonic conversation with the three foreign ministers, a joint statement said that the UAE, France and India would take joint steps in the areas of energy and climate change.

In a telephonic conversation, the ministers agreed that work would be done to protect biological diversity in the Indian Ocean.

 

Clean energy, environment and biological diversity projects will be worked on.

All three countries will work together in the fields of economic, technology and social policies under the Paris Agreement.

A number of trilateral events will be organized under the flag of G20 and COP 28 to implement all these projects.

The Foreign Ministers also talked about plastic pollution and food protection.

He agreed to enhance cooperation in defense, improve capabilities, work on joint production and training opportunities.

The foreign ministers of the three countries met on the sideline of the UN General Assembly meeting on September 19, 2022.
