Several people were injured in firing at Michigan State University, says Police

Police said several injured in firing on a campus of Michigan State University in East Lancing.

MSU police said bullets were fired near the Burke Hall of the campus, which is the home of the College of Social Science, and another shooting was reported at the IM East Fitness Center.

Police said there is only one suspect. He also said that the suspect was on foot and urged members of the campus to shelter the place.

According to the Campus newspaper The State News reports, scanner traffic reported firing on Burke, Habrd, East McDonal, Philips Halls, Union, and IM East.

The victims were shifted to the Spiro Hospital in Lansing. “Brody Hall, Sniider/Philips Hall, Mason Hall, Abbott Hall, Landen Hall, MSU Union, and Barki Hall have been cleaned and secured, police said.

All campus activities were canceled for 48 hours.
