Sania Mirza announces retirement from tennis

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has announced her retirement from tennis.

In her message, she said that 2022 will be her last tennis season. Explaining the reason for her retirement, she said that her recovery was getting longer, her knees were hurting and she has to take care of her three-year-old son.

Sania Mirza said that I love to play which is why I have been playing till today but due to these reasons my hobby is getting tired now.

“I worked hard to get fit again after the birth of my son. I wanted to be an example to mothers who do not continue their careers after having children,” said Sania Mirza.

“I have fond memories of my tennis career. My journey has been wonderful and I will never forget it,” she said.
